stainless-steel glazing

Casa Monterrey is a private residence located in San Pedro Garza García, Mexico, designed by Pritzker prize winner architect Tadao Ando. His genuine approach to purity, emphasizes the integrity of material for this project, thereby requiring a stainless-steel glazing system customized to the oversize format.

Our role involved the development, fabrication, and installation of powder-coated galvanized-steel custom profiles tailored to accommodate the expansive glazing system. These windows are designed to offer seamless operation, noiseless functionality, lightweight construction, and no maintenance requirements.

Despite its apparent simplicity, the project poses unique challenges due to the tailor-made nature of the window profiles and the logistics involved in transporting them to a challenging, hard-to-reach location. To achieve a cohesive, monolithic aesthetic, the was meticulously fitted and secured into the profiles off-site, employing a cap-closing system that conceals any visible fixtures.
